I'm kinda curious if they'll use Wily being the bag guy as a later twist and just have the robot masters go crazy at first (which would let them arrest Dr. Light -- a plot point from later games -- and then also give Dr. Wily the chance to sabotage Mega Man). Given that it's a Hollywood film, that almost seems the natural direction... although anybody familiar with the source material knows that Wily is the bad guy so it makes the twist a little anticlimatic.

He's a robot so his race literally doesn't matter. And, because it matters so little, you'll probably hear a lot of uproar from SJWs who forget that his race was ambiguous excluding in the West where they gave him a more anglo look.
