Probably not the swearing but the context/fact that he was swearing at the kids and lost his temper. Still that isn't horrid, they just might not want you back at that school (especially if it's a christian school etc).

Subbing can be stressful.

If the students like you, they ignore things like swearing lol...but it's hard to get that kind of rapport with them as a sub (doable but hard).

Also depends on the age of the students.

My elementary students loved that if I randomly burped (it didn't happen often, but sometimes) I would blame it on passing birds. They pretty much tell their parents everything though, so yeah, just pretend the parents are watching you the whole time your teaching elementary school kids (especially 3rd and under).

Best bet honestly if your gonna keep trying to sub is to volunteer in your spare time as a teachers aid to help teachers in schools near you. They absolutely NEED the help, and then they will automatically use you if they need a sub. Offer to copy papers etc for the whole school and you basically get a lock down on any subs needed at that school and can pretty much just work at a few very local to you in the future (also if you do want to work as a teacher full time, future positions are easy to get this way, even if you don't have your credentials yet. It is how I taught 4th grade at El Roble for 1/2 a year before I even started working on getting my credentials.
