I thought the movie made it pretty clear that the "accident" was no accident, it happened because the creepy supernatural cult made it happen. How so? It seemed pretty clear that it was just a freak accident and the cult took advantage of the situation. Wasn't completely a freak accident. The pole involved in the accident had the marking of the cult on it. It's visible when they pass it when driving to the party. We get that. What we're saying is, from what we seen, how were they involved with what happened? Again, the cult worships this supernatural entity but they themselves aren't capable of doing these supernatural feats that alters people's lives like that.
