What was the point of that blue echo/light effect that happened a few times during the movie? Why did the husband burn when Annie burned the sketchbook? Why/how did Annie become possessed in the end? But it just feels like mental illness plays a much bigger role and there's actually something else going on Another thing that kind of bugged me was how convinent it was for Charlie's decapitation. Of course, the cult needed to decapitate her, but the way it happened was all too convenient for that to be planned.
