Topic	Why do so many fantasy games use Orcs?

Hobbits were for the most part his own creation but...even those were....redone...as halflings for DnD etc....and used in dragonlance etc all over the place. So they are used often, just not called hobbits (as that is specific to Tolkiens universe.
