Those aren't cryptids. A cryptid is something like bigfoot that are legendary/mythical. They also never even proved that the sea monsters were giant squids even though they are most likely.

I understand what a cryptid is. But these are also animals that were most likely cryptids a long time ago. Sure, we know what these animals are now. But a long time ago, before they were discovered, they were probably a sort of cryptid to early explorers. Once a cryptid is discovered, it's changed from a cryptid to another classification. If we discover a cryptid in our time, for us, it will be a cryptid being discovered. But for future generations, it will just be another animal. We could discover some kind of animal, and future generations could say the same thing about whatever animal we discover...
