Kinda wonder how common that is, especially in regards to whether it's a preference. I don't think that was the case for my parents. I don't even know if they each knew that about each other before my mom got knocked up Zeus posted... That's great news, I suppose. I'm assuming he was also adopted so you aren't gaining more family with him (well, unless he has kids)? He wasn't adopted. My mom was the first born and given up for adoption and the rest stayed.
