Mr Lasastryke posted... populism is dumb, and so is "the majority is always right" logic. just because justin bieber is a super popular artist doesn't mean i'm "wrong" when i say he sucks. smart people with expertise and common sense should judge politicians, not ignorant people who don't know crap about politics (i.e. most people). The majority is not "always right," but it is always a majority. Yes, you point out a major flaw of democracy. But since we operate in such a system currently, we should deal with it and use it as a tool for measurement. Furthermore, often the "smart people" are really fucking idiots who are too wrapped up in their own bubbles to understand the problems of the common man. Mr Lasastryke posted... it may not matter in the grand scheme of things but it's still disgusting. My point is that a president should not be required to "not ever talk in a vulgar way, even before he actually became president."
