If a deck isn't running either of those things, that's honestly their problem. Very few decks don't have some form of single target removal, by necessity. And I don't think labeling Lynessa as degenerate just because she can be situationally powerful is fair. To be degenerate, IMO, something has to be broken in a way that there's virtually no way to deal with it for the majority of decks. Mecha'thun priest is the sort of deck that strikes me as degenerate, because all it does is remove and survive while cycling its deck, which includes two Psychic Screams for board clears that dilute your opponent's ability to agress, and then plays the last 5 cards in its hand to win instantly. Unless you can mess with their hand or play some oddball cards like Mana Wraith or The Beast, your only recourse is to hack through a deck full of defensive tools and healing (including Amara) to kill them first. --- Video Game Music Contest 12 winner: Ys 8 - Sunshine Coastline ...
