I am a purist and don't like to put much of anything on my pizza, although for some reason I have always liked pepporoni on it.

Better the pizza, less likely I am to get pepporoni though. The best pizza..........it's so good anything put on top of the cheese is a sin.

It is so hard to get pizza that good sigh. I would have to drive 850 miles just to find a place that good (That I know of).

Still there are a few places around me that I often get just cheese pizza...because the cheese is good enough, and the sauce is good enough, that pepporoni just takes away from the flavor.

Anyway, that is why I don't like steak on my pizza. It has too strong of a flavor of it's own, and detracts from the cheese/sauce.

You would imagine pepporoni would as well, but...it actually adds a spicey ness, and quite often I eat the pepporni off the top, and just have the juices left to flavor the pizza. It's' good in case the pizza on it's own isn't anything to write home about. Basically masks a bland pizza with inferior cheese.

I always get pepporoni from Pizza hut or Domino's for instance (not that I have had either in over a year).

Meanwhile Old School Pizza in Olympia, I always get just cheese (With extra cheese as thin crust as possible). It's a good NY pizza substitute.
