Or more accurately a week to NOT look forward to. lol

The whole "case of the Mondays" originated in the movie Office Space. I don't think it was ever used before then, but I could be wrong. Office Space may be a comedy that exaggerates some things about office work, but it's also pretty true about a lot of things too. It's one of my favorite comedies.

Not even close it's been around for years before that. Garfield had also used it.

Interesting. Even "Know Your Meme" says it originated with Office Space.

I tried googling "Garfield case of the Mondays" and I see a lot of instances where he says he hates Mondays, but nothing specifically about having a "case of the Mondays."

It's the same thing. Office Space just used that exact line.

As one of the elderly of the board, I can confirm that "a case of the Mondays" did stem from Garfield's dislike of Mondays, despite being a cat. Even the meme website says "To have a Case of the Mondays is to be in a bad mood on Monday due to the work- or school-week beginning." Which is basically the sentiment the Garfield creator was trying to express.
