| Topic | GTA5 really could be the greatest video game of all time. |
| MrMallard 07/22/18 9:47:25 AM #1: | It's aged very well - the core mechanics (driving, shooting) are rock solid, the "party switch" mechanic was a novel idea and is still very good (would I be wrong to say that it's been unmatched since, or even untouched by other video games in a similar manner?), and the online is arguably one of the most cohesive, content-rich and entertaining online services in a console game. The graphics might be a bit rough compared to stuff like God of War 2018 and stuff, but I would argue that it still looks fantastic for a game made 5 years ago. Like shit, by the time San Andreas was 5 years old, it looked crusty as fuck and it was a bit rough to play. GTA5 is really hanging in there. People have genuine grievances, and that's fine. The game certainly isn't flawless. But I think it's one of those games that is going to go down in history as one of the greats. --- I will walk down to the end with you, if you will walk all the way down with me.
