Uber could refuse to send them any more business through the app, but then it's starting to look a lot like an employer-employee relationship if they are policing this kind of thing - and Uber's foremost priority is to maintain their stance that their drivers are not employees.

Kim Davis can't be fired because she's an elected official. She can only be removed by losing an election or through impeachment.

You can deny work to an independent contractor. We do it all the time at our work place.
