You are reading it wrong. You should be reading it literally, that I have no patience debating someone who would compare sports teams to political factions committing atrocities.

Is it more absurd than someone who could compare literal murderers with trump supporters? Someone who thinks someone else is "downplaying fascism" just because they don't want to cross a slippery slope?

Also I could be mistaken again, but I don't believe you actually addressed the whole "Political beliefs doesn't give you a right to mistreat someone(especially a customer)".

Honestly people wearing maga caps is like that dude who wore a pepe pin. Way too low effort for me to give a shit about. If you're going to poke the bear, at least bring a stick with you. Not a feather.

Honestly? Yes. I feel there's a reasonable debate to be had that the amount of children who have disappeared under the current border policy (and being horribly realistic, we're going to find out later that those children disappeared into human trafficking) is animalistic, and if not on the level of latter day Nazi Germany, it's regardless a crime against humanity. Worthy of refusing service to any person wearing a symbol in support of the regime enabling it. Meanwhile there is no debate to be had with the whole sports analogy, it's just an effort to deflect into ridiculous territory. I'll happily dismiss that for the bullshit that it is.
