Ironically, we know of more non-white slayers in the Buffyverse than we do white ones, so I don't necessarily have an issue here. Whiteness is not integral to the character of Buffy, unless we want to imply there is somehow less horror movie victim potential to exploit in the character being portrayed by a black woman, and there were be if the role went to a while actress. Surely, y'all know better than to go down that rabbit hole. No. My objection is the idea of a Buffy reboot at all. That's straight trash. I no longer trust Whedon with that series. I don't care if he made it. It's not needed. most of the original is still just as relevant now as it was then.
