Why not? A pretty boy that would push seats playing a black man instead of giving the role to a black man. It's the same thing.
Probably because the availability of highly qualified, star-quality black actors exist that can nail a role like MLK. There is no need to put in someone else.
This is like when we didn't used to have hardly anyone else but a certain range of white, American actors in Hollywood and they would play EVERYONE. Black people, Egyptians, Chinese people, etc. That has been changing over the last 80 years and will continue to change.
Let's go back to the 1930s then when white people did black face.
Was it okay for that to happen, or would it have been better for them to start getting black people involved instead? ---
