The idea is that if you are going to make a movie with transgender people, why not use transgender people? If you use a non-trans woman to play a trans man... and a "bombshell" woman at that, it is the equivalent of saying that trans men are closer to women than who they identify as... men. There's a great level of disrespect there and that is what pisses off the community.
