Topic	Scarlett Johansson bullied out of transgender role

But why were people critical of it? Was it because she isn't trans? It's acting, they can get over it. The argument is that transgender actors have a hard time getting established on the scene because of structures and traditions that have excluded them. A cisgender actor taking on a role such as this just because it's a big name is the manifestation of such an exclusionary tradition. Well, when they cast a no-name trans actor and no one goes to see the movie, what will they say then? As the saying goes, "get woke, go broke".
