It's a bit outdated now, as some weapons in-game aren't on the list at all. And others have been buffed/nerfed since the site's last update, but it's a pretty decent starting point.

What are nodes?
What planets do i do first?
I got a carrier prime, are they still good
What are rivens
How do i get good mods

1. I assume you're referring to the mission nodes on the planets?
2. Just work your way through the chart. When you hover over the mission node, it should pop up with info about the mission (mission type, enemy faction, etc). One of them has a level range, which indicates the enemy levels you should expect to encounter at the start of the mission. Keep in mind that on endless missions like survival or defense, the enemies will scale up the longer you stay in the mission, and will eventually get beyond the range listed on the chart.
EDIT: You'll start on Earth, then work towards Venus and Mercury before jumping back to go the other direction from Earth. It's fairly straightforward, though, with only a couple short branches. Just keep an eye on enemy level on the mission select screen to know which missions you think you're capable of handling at the moment and get an idea of which order the game intends for you to go.
3. It's pretty good, imo. It all depends on how you mod them, though, like anything else in the game.
4. Rivens are special mods you have a chance to earn from the drop table of the Sortie each day. When you get one, it will tell you which category it falls under (rifle riven, melee riven, shotgun riven, etc). You must then equip it on a weapon of that category and fulfill a challenge listed on the riven to "unveil" it and reveal the specific weapon it is for and the stat bonuses it grants. They can be pretty extreme, such as +200% damage and +150% crit chance, things like that. You can re-roll the stat bonuses using Kuva if you don't like the ones you got, but each riven can only be used on a single specific piece of equipment and that piece won't change no matter how many times you roll it.
5. Grind. Check the wiki for specific mods and see where they drop from or check DE's public drop table. This is the PC drop table: https://n8k6e2y6.ssl.hwcdn.net/repos/hnfvc0o3jnfvc873njb03enrf56.html
