| Topic | Didn't like Pocahontas much. Avatar > Pocahontas. *spoilers* |
| pipebomb_phil 07/10/18 2:22:48 AM #1: | I guess I just watched Disney's Pocahontas for the first time. I didn't like it much. Very little character development, John and Pocahontas 'fall in love' right away despite only knowing each other for like an hour or two. Because of her tomfoolery, they killed one of her tribesmen. I mean, sure, because of her there was no war but that was still unrealistic because they were literally invading their land. Who wouldn't be pissed off if that happened? No one would be asking questions or trying to start a peace talk. Anyways, I've seen a lot of people compare Avatar to Pocahontas. I guess the basic plot is the same, but Avatar did everything way better. It had character development, it had a lot more of a story, and it made you care about the characters in it unlike Pocahontas.
