I wasn't in the alcoholic stage, mind you, but blacking out and vomiting in a bar is a terrible experience that really makes you wonder about your own choices. I think people do it multiple times a week to drown out different things. Either different negative voices or situations. Or they just like being rowdy. People are weird and complicated.
