To be fair, most of those things that were said years ago that are now accepted would also have been described by people years ago as something that would never be accepted. And you can't even say that pedophilia is somehow inherently anathema to well-adjusted or normal humans, and thus no culture would ever approve of it, because there have been any number of cultures throughout human history that have found pedophilia (for certain definitions of the term) perfectly acceptable, if not outright positive (like the ancient Athenians - aka the people we always credit for giving us the concept of democracy). Basically, all sorts of fucked up things have been accepted at various points in human history, and all sorts of fucked up things will almost certainly be accepted in the future.
