Do some of you really support protectionism? ... Do you really want to go back to the time when the middle class was only able to afford 1 tv, 1 car. Etc per household? Do you want. $10000 game consoles and $100 games... and all for a few jebs that no more than 2 per cent of americans would benefit? While at the same time making americans wo work on somethig releated to imports lose their jobs, make foreiners who make good money for their country lose their jobs....making american companies lose to foreing companies becuase they would place tarifs to Amerucan goods while they dint place tarifs on each other?.....
Sure we would win a trade war with China... But that is like 'winning' a fight against a weaker guy that while you manage to win by leaving him KO him to the hospital he manages to break your amrs and legs before he goes down
Okay I've got a lot to say about this. Not a Trumpster.
People need to stop pretending Trump has some grand plan. He's a man who managed to bankrupt a casino. He has no idea what he is doing.
A tariff war is insanely stupid. Bush implemented tariffs on steel and had to pull it back when it immediately negatively impacted the economy. Trump is doing tariffs 10x what Bush did. Harley already announced they are moving jobs oversees as a direct response to the new tariffs, and they will be the first of many companies. Prices are going to go up and people will lose jobs.
The economy is great courtesy of Obama, but Trump seems determined to fuck it up. It's mind-boggling.
Canada/Europe/China are matching our tariffs dollar for dollar, and if they choose to, they have unique options they could implement that would really hit us hard (which I could go into if anyone cares).
Tl;dr: Trump is going to fuck up a strong economy because he is an idiot.
