People aren't saying this about sexual assault on women, or to the extent to which they are they are heavily criticized for it. The issue is that this response is normalized in sexual assault on men, and even readily supported by men, because they are expected to be tough and masculine. The issue is that admitting that you are weak in a situation is a social no-no, so people are conditioned to deny it to their own and other's detriment. I don't see how this is any different from telling women to fight back (as in physically) against sexual assault.
