Among other issues, knowing the teacher could make it easier to identify the student. It's the same reason why places avoid mentioning a parent's name when their child is accused of something. I would agree, except that they named another student and another teacher at the school. If the Internet wanted to make an example of this kid, they already have enough information without knowing the name of the specific history teacher. Uh, what? They already named the school. The fact that they named others at the school which they already named is pointless because all that does is help them identify the school. The name of the actual teacher is more significant.
