Just make a regular ice cream cake and tell them it's vegan.

To you and the many people being rude: they're not vegan. They can't eat dairy and don't like eggy dessert. They explicitly asked for vegan ice cream because it is what they can eat.

And it's rude as fuck, if not dangerous, to feed people things they have explicitly said they can not eat. The vegan hate in here is ridiculous.

Thanks for the link suggestions, minimalist baker is a great site. I'm going to ask what flavors are preferred. I was going to sell my ice cream maker this week but I'm going to wait until I make this cake first.

I understand. We have to go completely peanut and tree nut free (and fish) because of allergies. It is crazy what may contain peanuts. I read all labels because of this. I bought a bag of frozen peas and the label said, "May contain peanuts." When you a 4 year old have an allergic reaction and you realize how serious it is and you have to use the eppipen and rush to the hospital.

Did they say Vegan or dairy free, because it isn't the same. I think there are some egg substitutes out there and recipes for eggless cakes. I don't get the dislike for eggy desserts because most cakes don't taste eggy, it just makes them cake-like which a substitute should do too.

Check the label of ALL ingredients, even the ones you would think has no dairy. We don't buy "shared lines" or "same facility" products.

Good luck.
