Also, every "sex positive" industry comes with wrinkles of harassment, exploitation, objectification, assault, etc. You can like the idea of "sex positive" feminism in theory, but it's naive to think it's a net positive for women right now. That kind of bad shit comes with the territory and the necessary cultural change to fix it isn't going to happen for decades, if ever

Evidently it's just every industry that comes with wrinkles of harassment and exploitation. This isn't just limited to whatever you think the 'sex positive' industry is. With the exception of human trafficking situations and the like, women are more than capable of choosing not to be involved in organizations that objectify them.

If we think of it in terms of the porn industry - are there women that are exploited? Absolutely. But are there women that do it because they love what they do and make a shit ton of money? Absolutely. So we're gonna tell the women who like what they do to fuck off because other people are being exploited? That's ridiculous.

Let people make their own decisions. If a woman doesn't want to participate in a contest that shows off their ass, fine. She doesn't have to do it.

All that said, these are of course private organizations that are more than welcome to make their own decisions and do what's in their own best interest. I'm only talking in principality, not in terms of this particular situation.
