While voice-to-text may be a game-changer, I kinda think that there are always going to be certain challenges with the technology (ie, it's harder to edit, different thinking process, etc). I'm kinda curious how it's going to be incorporated into noisier workplaces, given the logistical issues there.

youre right about it being harder to edit through voice-to-text. but im expecting that number one, it will get accurate enough that you wont need to edit a whole lot, and two, that eventually someone will come up with an elegant solution to making those text modifications through voice commands


You're thinking of editing in terms of just proofreading, but it goes a lot further than just minor mistakes in transcription. For instance, you might say a wrong word (something that a software wouldn't be guaranteed to pick up through context) decide that you want to rephrase something because you don't like the tone.
