The last thing we need is even more uninformed voters. Americans are already stereotypically dumb about geography and world affairs and whatnot. It's important for people to understand how the US got to where it is today in terms of its role in the world.


Maybe not the best example, but I'll stand my ground. Schools teach way too much bull shit that people don't need in adult life and skip on skills they do need.


Imagine not knowing what school/education is for.

Middle and high school are pretty much glorified babysitters. I learned nothing of value from them despite graduating with decent grades


I've never used anything I've learned in school at any job I've worked at. Basic math, sure, but I don't need to add them up in my head without a calculator. Spreadsheets can be learned on the job easily enough or at the trade school.

That's what I think we need to do. Drop high school and open up trade schools.
