Americans are already stereotypically dumb about geography and world affairs and whatnot. It's important for people to understand how the US got to where it is today in terms of its role in the world. Maybe not the best example, but I'll stand my ground. Schools teach way too much bull shit that people don't need in adult life and skip on skills they do need. A better example would be algebra and geometry, which almost nobody uses in real life except for a few very specific jobs --- No one triggers the Trumpanzees quite like you do - Bullet_Wing Conservatism is a plague on society.
