Even if Donald didn't know, he does now and his reaction (or lack thereof) should be telling. I've accidentally used a word I thought was informal but not offensive before when it actually was, and I felt pretty strongly about trying to clear my name and let people know I didn't mean my use of the word like that. I can see how the term in question wouldn't be widely known as offensive here, so Donald's got an opportunity to disavow it. Does he care to?
