Also, Kawhi's teammates are all old and falling apart, and this might be their last respectable year in the league. So of course they want Kawhi to play and don't want to accept a lost year. Kawhi is 26 or 27 and has a decade left in the league - if he stays healthy. One nasty thought is that Kawhi would be playing if the team were better. But it's not his fault that Pop went and signed Rudy Gay for twice the money of Jonathon Simmons, or that he re-upped Pau and LMA instead of looking younger elsewhere. In any case, I think it's likely Kawhi is not playing for the the Spurs in 2020. Which makes me sad. --- yet all sailors of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness ... Copied to Clipboard! |
