Topic	How the fuck do you play The Sims 4?

I'm just stuck at my house, my Sim goes to work and I'm just sitting there at the house fast forwarding time. Then they get back, I take care of him, do what I need to for work the next day, sleep, then they go back to work, rinse and repeat. Maybe I'm just dumb as shit but this is significantly less intuitive than previous games.
