This just sounds loke there wasn't enough room on the assignment. Not really seeing the bias. If you ran out of room when trying to write the ingredients in your foods, then likely others would run out of room when trying to write down all the vegetables in a salad or other the ingredients in other common American foods.

you can rationalize anything
but you have to wonder why they made it so short if they didn't expect people to only need that space because all they're eating is white bread microwaved broccoli and baked chicken

I can only imagine they made it short because they didn't expect students to obssessive-compulsively itemize every literal ingredient.

If a kid ate cereal were they expectwedexpected to write down:

Corn flour, sugar, whole grain oat flour, cocoa (processed by alkali), canola oil, corn syrup, unbleached enriched flour, riboflavin, salt, demerged corn meal, natural and artificial flavor, cornstarch, chocolate liquor, leavening, soy lechitin, BHT to preserve freshness?
