Pick one.

Reality is that these people have a medical disorder and the associated depression that comes with there not being a real cure. Acceptance and medication can only go so far, but the disorder is persistent, which we see in the extreme suicide rates.

People that act differently are more likely to be bullied. People that are bullied, mistreated, abused are more likely to kill themselves. Does that mean everyone that is born different was born with depression? I considered killing myself in high school several times. Does that mean part of the blame should be on the "associated depression" that comes with autism and social anxiety? I'm not going to argue with you that gender dysphoria is not a serious disorder. I'm going to argue with you that gender dysphoria is not just another word for depression or that it's a package deal, but rather that disorders make you a prime target to develop depression due to how they change your environment.

I completely agree with you that there is a negative feedback cycle. But unlike some attributes kids are bullied for that are just "different," transgenderism is a medical disorder. Even if the trans person is fully accepted, they need to deal with the issue of having a physical body that will never match what their brain would like it to be. Even surgery and transitioning are highly imperfect, as most MtF don't come close to being passable. The elevated depression and suicide rates will always be there until a real cure is found.

Yeah, we need to treat them better, like all people with non-depressive disorders, so they are all less likely to develop depression that can lead to suicide. Trans people just happen to have it the worst. When I said different, I didn't just mean watching anime or listening to ICP. I meant born different from the norm. This isn't to say that people with disorders do not need their own therapy, but we can stop treating them like shit to not add on to their troubles.
