Topic	Anybody ever get a college girl to date them?

I was about 25 at the time and had just gotten back to Tx from Nebraska where I had met the first girl I ever slept with. But she really screwed me over and I remember when I got home, everyone, including people on here, said "College is one of the best places to meet girls." "You might meet the love of your life there." So I went in there very enthusiastic and open minded and positive, but I just kept getting turned down. All I was doing was making small talk, maybe a joke or two, and then asked them out for coffee... most common responses I got were: "I would, but I'm busy." "I have a boyfriend." "Yeah we can go out!" Then I get a number and she either doesn't respond, or stops responding. Anyone ever have success with that? It was really hard not to take it personally. I felt like my ex had just given me a big fuck you, then I get the same from all of the girls on campus. Really made me hate college. After a while, I just started wearing my shades everywhere and blasting my IPod so I could drown everyone out. Yeah, that's what you're doing wrong. Small talk doesn't make girls attracted to you.
