It seems like a great idea at the moment, but yeah, as has been said, you will absolutely hate yourself later. Believe me. You think you can just shrug it off and everything will be fine, but that isn't how it works. If you can keep it a secret, it will eat you up, if you're wife founds out (which is most likely what will happen--you'll get careless or finally feel so bad you confess), you're going to be very miserable and probably lose everything. That's just what happens to you, I'm not seeing the appeal of doing something to crush the person who considers you the most important person in their life, even if somehow nothing bad happens to you.
