I saw this last year and it blew my mind, the hype was insane for it but it lived up to it completely. The songs are so good, and the pace of the whole show is so fast that its relentless (in a good way), it was such a different experience from every other show Ive seen.

tbh, been obsessed with it since first hearing a clip from "The Schuyler Sisters" on NPR over 2 years ago. The whole album flows together beautifully because -- and I didn't realize this at the time -- was because *all* the scenes were songs, which is a crazy different approach.

Granted, had I not heard it without knowing what it was, I might have been inclined to scoff at the whole thing because of its hipster-y vibe.

i also advise you keep eyes on the crowd whenever you get a second. the number of people gasping and pearl clutching or going red in the face with anger was downright hysterical when i went. Its a musical by matt and trey, so im really not sure what these people expected.

The crowd at the one I attended didn't react much besides laughter and sometimes nervous laughter =x
