| TheCyborgNinja 03/06/18 2:46:14 AM #8: | My grandma would've had a better quality of life towards the end if she'd gone into a home 2-3 years earlier and avoided a couple of bad falls. But she was capable enough and very stubborn, so it ended poorly. The lesson I took away from that is to just say "tough" and take them in if it's best for them, regardless of the impact on your relationship. The right thing to do is usually the harder one. As for my parents, it'd be easy if they lost their minds but hard if they were with it upstairs and just debilitated physically. They're (hopefully) still another 20-30 years away from that point, but the discussion has happened and they're fine with it and don't expect me to look after them. When they're dead, I don't want to even live in my city anymore because I'm so close them that I'd just be reminded constantly and be miserable 24/7. --- "message parlor" ? do you mean the post office ? - SlayerX888 ...
