It's an underrated job and lots of teachers get frustrated with the extra work and lack of respect from parents. Primary level (i.e. elementary school) can be especially taxing because you have to cover several subjects (high school typically covers one subject per teacher) and you have to be trained and responsible for children, as opposed to young adults. I think most schools now include special needs students as well. It's not an easy job and everyone wants to throw you under the bus when the children don't excel or have disciplinary issues. --- ... ... Copied to Clipboard! |
