That katana looks like it can fuck up enemies a lot better than my broadsword. katanas are nice because they attack quickly and they can inflict Bleed status, which can deal some good damage. they don't stagger much though, which is incredibly helpful sometimes. the broadsword is a very solid weapon, though. also keep your weapon upgraded the most you can.
