For now, I'm sticking to the treadmill since I'm a little intimidated by the rest of the gym. But as I get more comfortable being there, I'll start branching out. I think I'm mostly going to stick to the treadmill and the free weights section after I get comfortable. I want to lose weight and get toned ^^


When you get more comfortable with it, you'll really wanna look into lifting weights. There are plenty of beginner programs out there, so you can do a little research to find 'em.

It can be intimidating, but I would suggest taking someone who knows what they're doing or alternatively going late at night so you can get a feel for how the lifts work without feeling self conscious.

I prefer to lift at night myself anyway. Most of the time the gym is cleared out by about 11:00.
