Has your opinion on randomizers changed recently? I know you weren't a big fan of LTTP because it's basically just boring routing changes. Are any of the other variations more interesting to you?

Oh I've always loved randomizers - been playing Pokemon Randomizer since 2012, Z1R and Z2R since 2015 - I just don't personally enjoy LTTP because I've never liked speedrunning LTTP very much. It's by far my least favorite of the four classic Zeldas (Z1, Z2, and LA are all top 10 favorite games of all time for me - LTTP doesn't break the top 100) and I've tried to speedrun it before but it isn't for me. I don't really enjoy the base game so I'm not really into the rando either. I have a little bit of low-key disdain for it because it was the first randomizer to get really mainstream popular when I've been trying to make Pokemon/Z1/Z2 a thing for years, but I don't really hate it or anything. I was really enthusiastic about its appearance in GDQ and I'm glad that it's continuing to grow.

I am actually going to commit to learning LTTPR at some point anyway, mainly because I want to be a Zelda Randomizer quaternary player - Z1, Z2, LTTP, and LA, once LA gets out of beta and gets a little bit more of a following. I'm already a top 15 or so dual-threat Z1R and Z2R player and LA is my favorite game of all time (though I have little speedrunning experience in it either) so all I need to do is suck it up and get even a baseline education in LTTP to do all four, which I think would be pretty neat.
