U-6 is counting people who work part time but would like to work full time. U-3 is just unemployed workers. Since the long-term UE also went down, my natural inclination was to assume that people who were unemployed a long time got part-time jobs even though they wanted full time jobs. But that would cause U-3 to go down too, I think.
So I guess maybe more part-timers want to work full-time now? Or I'm just not thinking it through clearly.
Or full time workers are getting downgraded to part time work? ---
