I remember one of the guru winners said he was strongly considering nominating Aqua from Kingdom Hearts if the next contest was a character battle.

New characters from actual new games are, of course, largely worthless without rallies. Geralt and Last of Us characters are probably above the fodder-line and Joker, Aloy, and Undertale characters might at least come sorta close. That's all the credit I'll give!
