Well why would you want remakes of more recent games that you can still play on your 3DS?

Basically, as I mentioned above, I just think that gen 4 would make better use of the new engine, with a bigger and more diverse region and more Pokemon/moves/items/etc. I think only so much can be done with Kanto now. FR/LG did more or less everything I would want, minus the physical/special split, 3D (not necessarily prettier) graphics and tweaked movesets/abilities/etc. I'd want a bit more than that. I suppose there's that saying about not knowing what you want until you actually see it, so they could surprise me, but that goes doubly for gen 4.

I wouldn't go that far, but in this instance, I'd rather Game Freak focus on making a really amazing new game, spending more time to add in proper post-game content.
