And the ending of TDK is one of the best ending of a movie in history. Nolan showed EXACTLY why people like Batman, he isn't a hero who is consumed by his image. One of my favourite line of all time: "Because sometimes the truth isn't good enough, sometimes people deserve more, sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded".
