Everything this movie redid was done way better in 1991, and everything new was unnecessary. i think the movie did have some more moral elements added more effort is given to making belle her own character and having even more backbone than in the 91 version. also, gaston is more obviously a bad person to be, since the villagers think of him as an asshole too that said there was no reason for this movie to take 2 hours, yeesh --- yet all sailors of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness ...
