Well I created a schedule that is 120 rounds long that has lots of eliminations in the early rounds (more than 20). If I ever do this again, I won't want it to take 7 months like the last one. Disney and FF take about 4 months so that is more of the timeframe I would be hoping for.

That's good, the previous contest being 7 months long was a serious ordeal for anyone to survive. If you're aiming to run this over the course of 4 months, I'm guessing there will be some occasional off-days that are balanced out by some days featuring a double round.

I assume your schedule doesn't include any details regarding saves per hour, since that's something which should be adjusted based on how long the rounds last for (aiming for each round to be completed in 3 to 6 hours). The number of regular participants is also a determining factor in how many saves each person should be allowed to make per hour.

the appeal of the bot contests (at least for me) is that they ARE 24 hours/non-stop. gives it a more casual and fun atmosphere. and people can stop stressing about missing rounds and taking things super seriously like what FF has become.

Nah, I don't want rounds happening 24 hours a day. That might work out just fine for smaller contests where you don't expect people to take them seriously, but not for the huge ones like Disney, Final Fantasy, or Pokemon. It would just make things worse for the huge contests.
