Sending you mixed signals is messing with you, feigning disinterest while making deniable advances. That behavior is meant to cause confusion. If he sees you as his property he'll probably panic if he thought you were dating someone else and pushing him away. Unless he's really a cool guy, then he'll want you to be happy with someone. I won't be dating anyone anytime soon. That's for sure :/ I don't think he'd be that manipulative though. Maybe he's not doing it on purpose. I dunno.
